Limerick GAA club swaps hurleys for golf clubs

PALLASGREEN GAA Club in Limerick is all geared up for their third annual golf classic fundraiser on Friday, August 18 just down the road at Ballykisteen Golf Club.
Club members and locals will swap the wooden stick for golf clubs as over 60 teams tee off in a bid to win some of the fantastic prizes that are up for grabs including fourballs and overnight stays at some of Ireland's leading golf courses like the 4 Star Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort, county Wicklow and Lucan Golf Club, county Dublin.
With limited tee slots remaining, contact Jonathan Deere 086 3722601 for timesheet details.
The format will be a champagne scramble and a team of four costs €200 which includes a round of golf, goodie bag of treats and a two-course meal at The Pallas Bar & Bistro on the day.
Pallasgreen GAA Club encompasses their LGFA, camogie, juvenile and senior clubs with nearly 600 members combined. The fundraiser is to raise much needed funds towards club development, specifically an additional training field and ball wall for the upcoming generations.
The club has been extremely fortunate to have the continued support of local businesses not just for the annual golf classic but consistently throughout the year.
This year there has been an outpouring of support with an amazing four main sponsors - Ray and Brendan Lee, of Lee’s Centra; Pallas Bar & Bistro; John O’Connor, St Ailbe’s Credit Union and Leo and Tara O’Sullivan, of Stonebridge Motors.
