Limerick hospice to hold remembrance event

MILFORD Care Centre will be hosting its annual Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at Our Ladies Help of Christians Church, Castletroy, Limerick on Sunday, May 14 at 3 pm.
The service is an opportunity for the community to come together and honour the memories of loved ones who have passed away under the care of Milford, since the last service, which was held pre-Covid in 2019.
The event provides a chance to reflect on cherished memories and find comfort in the support of others.
Families are invited to bring a stone from their home or a special place significant to their loved one, with the option to write their name on it.
During the service, each family will have an opportunity to place their stone on the altar or wait until after the ceremony. The stones will serve as a foundation beneath the altar during Christmas and Easter celebrations at Milford Care Centre next year.
Following this, the symbolic stones will be placed at the “Light up a Memory Tree”, serving as a tribute to the cherished memories of their loved ones.
All members of the community are welcome to attend, whether they have recently lost a loved one or simply want to show support for those who are grieving.
The Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving is a chance to unite as a community and find solace in shared memories.
