Limerick Live to keep you in loop this election day

FROM the moment ballot boxes open at Limerick Racecourse on Saturday morning to the final candidate being elected, www.limericklive.ie and Limerick Leader will have you covered!
Limerick people go to the polls this Friday to elect members of the council, the European Parliament, and, for the first time ever, an executive mayor.
From early on Saturday morning as boxes are emptied and early indications of how Limerick people have voted in the elections become clear, Leader journalists will be on-hand to bring you all the latest developments, political views and reactions.
Our website will play host to a live rolling blog bringing you the latest bits of news, while there will also be regular updated on X, formerly Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
With three elections taking place across the weekend, it’s set to be a weekend of high political drama.
The Limerick Leader’s Monday newspaper, out first thing that day, priced at €1.50, will bring you an overview of the weekend, with the 40-member council expected to take shape by Sunday night.
Our photographers will capture the moments of triumph and agony at the Patrickswell venue.
Counting in the mayoral election is not expected to kick off until Monday morning, with a result expected later that day.
We will also have a reporter in Cork, where the European ballots are being counted.
While www.limericklive.ie will continue to bring up-to- the-minute developments, there will be lots of coverage of a dramatic few days, in the Limerick Leader broadsheet edition, which will be available in shops from early on Wednesday morning.
Follow the Limerick Leader’s online coverage at www.limericklive.ie, and via our social media channels.
