A SOUTH Limerick man who had a caravan on a greenfield site without permission, has now been given more time to remove hardcore that he put down on the same site.

An enforcement notice from Limerick City and County Council was served on Michael Quilligan, of Ballyphilip, Banogue, Croom in September 2020.

This was for having a caravan on a greenfield site, but he subsequently removed it and has since put down hardcore.

Mr Quilligan told the court that his architect is on holidays and that he wants to get the hardcore approved, so that he can keep it and use it for his horses.

Judge Patricia Harney noted that the issues have been before Kilmallock District Court since December of last year.

Solicitor for the council, Will Leahy, said that progress was being made, even though it was slow.

Mr Quilligan will appear before the court again on May 21.
