Limerick man starts role as CEO of HSE

LIMERICK man Bernard Gloster has started his new role as the Chief Executive of the HSE on Monday.
The former head of TUSLA has replaced Paul Reid as the CEO of Health Service Executive.
The Kildimo man worked in the HSE for thirty years and was chief officer of the HSE Mid-West before being appointed to the position of chief executive of TUSLA in 2019.
Mr Gloster originally trained as a social care worker, and worked for a number of years in childcare services. He was a senior health manager in acute and community care for 16 years.
He holds a MSc in Management Practice from UCC and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University.
Speaking of his appointment when it was announced, Mr Gloster said: "I am very privileged to have been selected by the HSE to be the chief executive of an organisation of such vital importance to the public.
"Working with such a large and diverse workforce committed to providing the best in health and social care brings many opportunities for continuous improvement in how people access and experience services.
"I look forward to working with the board, my HSE colleagues, partners across the wider system as well as with the Minister and the Department on the health reform agenda."
