Limerick mayoral bids come to market

A NUMBER of mayoral candidates have headed off to Kilmallock Mart of a Monday to press the flesh of farmers. Helen O’Donnell,

Cllr Elisa O’Donovan and Dee Ryan have taken the trip to the ringside with John Moran being the most recent visitor, that Farm Leader is aware of. Mr Moran is pictured with Limerick ICMSA chairman, John Bateman.

On a similar theme, ICMSA president Denis Drennan launched the association’s ICMSA Guide To Election 2024 at the Radisson Hotel on the Ennis Road.

He said it is the essential guide to agri and rural issues for both farmer voters and candidates in the run-up to the elections on June 7.

Mr Drennan said that every effort had been made to identify the most persistent problems and challenges and bring forward solutions in bullet-point form and under the various straightforward headings. He said he was confident that anyone – rural or otherwise – will be able to use the guide and understand the context of the problems as well as seeing the logic of the ICMSA solution.
