MOTORISTS and road users are being advised to expect some disruptions this Saturday night due to maintenance work on festoon lights in Limerick city.

In a public notice, Limerick City and County Council says the works will begin at 4am (on Sunday) to minimise any disruption to members of the public, motorists and businesses.

"The works will begin at Thomond Bridge and continue along Clancy Strand to Shannon Bridge, then from Shannon Bridge back along Honan’s Quay to Arthurs Quay Park," reads the notice.

The local authority says a traffic management operation will be in place during the works and that any inconvenience caused is regretted.

All roads will remain open throughout the works.
