Limerick mum of newborn appeals for public’s help in tracing stolen car
BRAZEN criminals stole a car belonging to a newborn mum, which contains important baby equipment, from right outside her home.
Lisa Buckley said the car was in situ at 12.30am that Tuesday night / Wednesday morning.
"At 7.30am on Wednesday, my husband was leaving for work and asked if I had parked the car somewhere because it wasn't in the driveway.
"We rang Henry Street straight away and they came up and took a statement. It is a lovely, settled neighbourhood,” said Lisa.
To compound matters, there was important equipment for the couple’s three-month-old baby in the car.
"We had an Uppababy Vista buggy, basinet and wheels, and an ISOfix car seat and base in the car. So that rubs more salt in the wound. We only bought the car in the summer in preparation for the baby,” said Lisa, who made an appeal on her social media accounts.
"We spent Wednesday driving around looking for it. A woman who got in contact with me said the car pulled into her driveway in Crecora at 5.45am. And it was also spotted in Ballyneety later at 11.30am.
"It would be amazing if it just turned up down a side road or something," said Lisa.
She is appealing to the public to keep an eye out for the silver Ford Kuga (registration 161 T 110). And to please report any sightings to gardai in Henry Street on 061 212400.
