At the April meeting of the Cappamore-Kilmallock Municipal District, councillors noted the transfer of lands from the council to Cashel and Emily Diocesan Trust Company Limited by way of a 30-year lease.

It was highlighted at the meeting that the community group are exploring the possibility of a €25,000 grant to help build the Ashes Graveyard. It was also recommended that the local authority set the annual rent at €1.

Independent councillor Brigid Teefy said that she was asked on behalf of the local community and the graveyard community to say that the local authority’s "co-operation is appreciated" as the progressing of the development has been "going on for a while."

She said that this may be of benefit as "maybe in the long run this is good, because everybody though about things"

Cllr Teefy added that "a lot of stuff has revived in Kilteely and there is a good appetite for progress there" and that it is "great" now that it can go ahead.

The disposal of the land from Limerick City and County Council was noted at the April meeting of the Cappamore-Kilmallock Municipal District.
