Limerick's Celia Holman Lee enjoys Ladies Day at Dublin Horse Show

IF IN DOUBT, wear red, is what I always say! I was a ‘lady in red’ for Ladies Day at this year’s Dublin Horse Show.
The show-stopping 148th Ladies Day event took place at the RDS and what a cracker of a day it was!
The style was truly phenomenal and attending such fabulous events like these is always the highlight of my summer.
The glitz and glam of events such as the Dublin Horse Show is what I love most, as well as the camaraderie and excitement buzzing in the air. I wore a red dress by none other than Phoenix V and a head-piece by Carol Kennelly.
We enjoyed a three-course meal, with delicious canapés and bubbling prosecco on arrival. What a treat!
The stunning Maria De Leon Castillejo, from Seville in Spain, was crowned Best Dressed and was awarded a prize worth over €10,000 from sponsors, the Anantara Hotel Group.
I had the honour of attending the renovation launch of the Anantara The Marker Hotel back in May, a luxurious backdrop in the heart of Ireland’s capital city. Maria will undoubtedly have a tremendous time staying here, and congratulations on her winnings!
Wearing a jacket that she bought while travelling in India and a silk dress and shoes from Spain, Maria deserved the prize and ,like myself, wore a gorgeous shade of red!
The runner-up in the Best Dressed was Dee Maddock from Kildare, whose sister constructed her headpiece made entirely out of badminton shuttlecocks. How truly inspirational and creative, highlighting sustainability at the core of this year's event!
Well done to all. I am overjoyed to have been in attendance to witness the couture which us Irish and international women have at our fingertips.
I adore all things fashion so it was a true honour to have met those who put so much effort into their looks on the day.
Chat next week!
