Man arrested after drugs seizure at Limerick home

A MAN has been arrested after gardai seized a quantity of drugs during a raid of a house in Limerick.
A garda spokesperson said: "Approximately €1,600 worth of suspected drugs and arrested one man following a search operation at a residence in the Southill area of Limerick on Monday morning, August 21."
Limerick Live understands the drugs in question was cocaine.
"The male, aged in his 20s, was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in Limerick.
"He was later released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The drugs are subject to analysis," said the garda spokesperson.
Investigations are ongoing.
