Man in Limerick scammed after selling computer online

A MAN in his 30s was scammed after selling an item online.
The man in the Ballysimon area advertised a computer for sale on an Irish website.
On Saturday, May 18 at 10am a buyer, who had communicated with him online, called to his home to view the computer.
An agreement was reached for a price and the buyer transferred the money into the seller’s bank account.
He even showed screenshots of the supposed bank transfer and he left with the computer.
A short time later, the seller realised that the screen shots must have been fake as he never received the money.
Unfortunately, he does not have any solid details of the man who took the computer that would help gardai locate the buyer.
