My week with Celia Holman Lee: Browsing sales for raceday bits

WITH the summer sales soon coming to an end, I browsed shops on the streets of Limerick to snatch a few final bargains.

Now is a prime time to take a trip around some of the sensational stores that we have located on our doorstep in the city.

A firm favourite of mine is, of course, Brown Thomas.

The luxury retailer is the perfect one-stop-shop for all your raceday needs, as I get set to go to the Galway Races!

A rare ray of sunshine shone through the grey clouds which seem stubbornly settled over Ireland this summer, so I enjoyed strolling the Limerick city streets for a short while.

I am so looking forward to the Galway Races this August bank holiday.

I am a guest for Ladies Day this Thursday, August 1 which is special for me as I remember my first time at the Galway Races many moons ago.

I hope that lots of Limerick ladies will dress up and put their best foot forward and come join us on the day. Wouldn’t it be a dream come true for a Limerick woman to be crowned best dressed on the day?

Celebrating beautiful fashion and individuality is what I strive to do always, and with the Galway Races, women’s unique creativity shines so brightly through - which makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

I will be wearing a magnificent hat once again by the extremely talented milliner Carol Kennelly, who showcased in Royal Ascot this year, and was a guest in the corporate box area, which was lovely recognition to receive.

An eventful few weeks on the horizon, which I am ever grateful for.
