New signs to point the way to pay for parking in Limerick town

Concerns raised over people being confused about payment options
SIGNS to let people know how they can pay for their parking are to be installed in Newcastle West.
Councillor Jerome Scanlan raised concerns at the Newcastle West Municipal District meeting, about people being confused about payment options.
“People are being sent to shops to buy packets of parking tickets - it’s inconvenient for the shops and for people parking,” he said.
He was told that there are plans for signs to inform people of how they can pay for parking and that they will be in place by June.
The signs will tell people that they can buy discs in the local shop using cash or card or can pay for their parking using the Park Magic app and card on their mobile phone.
The Park Magic app asks people to register with their card and car registration details and can then be used to park anywhere in Limerick and in locations around the country.
