PICTURES: Limerick sports stars give helping hand at ice-cream fundraiser

The event was held to raise money to help a member of the local community

TWO LIMERICK sports stars were on hand at a special ice-cream fundraiser for a member of the local community.

Moloneys' Daybreak in Broadford was the place to be for the ice-cream fundraiser.

A great crowd descended on the village to support the local fundraising efforts for Carol Liston O'Connor and her family.

Carol, a well known teacher in Desmond College and in GAA circles, was diagnosed with motor neuron disease in 2022.

The communities of Athea, Broadford and Dromcollogher have rallied behind the family in attempt to alleviate some of the financial worries they have.

Robbie Lynch of Treaty United was on hand serving ice-cream along with Cillian Fahy who plays county football for Limerick.
