IF THE 2024 Cook Medical Mini Marathon was on Saturday it would have been a washout but this Sunday the participants were bathed in sunshine. Around 3,500 participants from all over Limerick and Ireland took part. The mini marathon kicked off at noon at the University of Limerick, with men, women, children and dogs jogging or running the 5km and 10km courses. The event has been a significant fundraiser for local and national charities. This year’s donations are expected to reach over €50,000.
