FRIAR'S Gate Theatre, Kilmallock, was all blue and yellow this Saturday for Ukraine Independence Day.
This community-led event aimed to bring together locals and Ukrainian people in “a day filled with fun, culture, and unity, open to everyone regardless of nationality”.
Eileen O’Keeffe, manager at Ballyhoura Development CLG, said, “This event is a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and unity".
The events of the day included a disco for children, a big bubble show, an art exhibition, and a screening of the Ukrainian cartoon Mavka, with English subtitles.
Ukraine is celebrating 33 years of independence this year.
