Pop-up shop and gallery opens at Limerick shopping centre for Christmas

A SPECIAL pop-up store and gallery has opened at the Crescent Shopping Centre giving shoppers the opportunity to buy local, unique presents this festive season.
Now in its fourth year, the popular pop up store “LSAD Artists on Display” features new work by both students and graduates of Limerick School of Art & Design.
Located at the former Pamela Scott unit, work from more than 50 artists including fashion, ceramics, fine art, photography and sculpture will be on display until this Tuesday, December 20.
Dean Limerick School of Art and Design and Director of Cultural Engagement TUS, Mike Fitzpatrick has welcomed the continuation of the collaboration.
“The pop-up store and gallery allows us the opportunity to share the LSAD experience with shoppers and visitors to Limerick. For many Limerick shoppers the pop-up shop is now part of the traditional Christmas shopping experience, while also providing an opportunity for our students and graduates to showcase their unique work."
“By visiting the store and gallery shoppers see first-hand the skills developed on a daily basis at LSAD. They will also have the opportunity to find a special piece for themselves or a unique gift for another this Christmas,” he added.
Mr Fitzpatrick added, “We at LSAD, TUS are delighted to work with the Crescent Shopping Centre again to offer LSAD students and graduates the opportunity to show their wonderful range of artwork in a safe environment.”
The “LSAD Artists on Display” is open until 6pm daily.
