Following the great success during National Community Engagement Week of events held throughout Limerick County Community Engagement Area, gardai have announced a further three confirmed events.

A major attraction was the property marker which enables gardai to return valuable items to their owner if they are unfortunately stolen and then hopefully recovered by gardai.

The events in Oola on Saturday and Doon on Monday were well attended and there is one more chance to meet and chat to gardai in a relaxed setting - the Bruff Church car park this Thursday, June 1 from 10am to noon.

Inspector Gearoid Thompson said people will have an opportunity to have their property marked by Garda Aiden Larkin and his colleagues.

“Our thanks to Limerick City and County Council for the use of this device,” said Insp Thompson, who encourages one and all to come along and get their goods expertly marked on this Thursday morning in Bruff.
