Public meeting to take place to discuss Active Travel plans for busy Limerick road

A PUBLIC meeting is to take place to brief local residents and stakeholders about plans to install cycle lane infrastructure on busy road.
An open information evening regarding the proposed Corbally Road Safe Routes To School Scheme will take place at Scoil Íde this Thursday.
The Scheme proposes to install a walk/cycle path on the school side of the road and to widen the existing footpath on the residential side.
Limerick City & County Council’s Active Travel team is encouraging all of those with an interest in the proposed Scheme to attend this event. Construction of the proposed Scheme is anticipated to begin later this year.
Plans under separate scheme, first mooted by Limerick City and County Council, have been shelved rejected following a public consultation process.
Proposed road safety alterations at the Lanahrone Avenue junction are included in the Corbally Road Safe Routes To School Scheme.
This Thursday's public meeting begins at 7.15pm.
