Sarsfield Credit Union seeks new charity partner for 2025

Blood Bikes Mid West, Limerick Suicide Watch and Blue Box Creative Learning Centre are in the running for the prize
A LOCAL charity is set for a year-long boost as the Sarsfield Credit Union seeks a ‘partner’ for 2025.
The Credit Union, based at the junction of Glentworth Street and Catherine Street has picked three charities, and over the last few weeks, has been asking its members which one should become the member's partner for the New Year. They are Limerick Suicide Watch, BlueBox and Blood Bikes Mid West.
Members of the Credit Union have been voting for one of these three groups.
The charity receiving the most votes - to be revealed on December 23 - will receive a cheque for €1,000 and year-long promotion and support from Sarsfield Credit Union.
It's the seventh year in a row the business has run a contest like this, and Patrick Flaherty, sales and marketing manager, says it is all about celebrating the great work local charities do.
“This is all about giving coverage to local charities for the most part in the run up to Christmas. We'd hope everyone could take a step back over Christmas, read the Leader, read about these charities, and see what's happening with them on the ground locally,” he explained.
The winning charity will receive media promotion from the Credit Union through 2025. Previous winners of the contest include Limerick Animal Welfare, Dochas MidWest Autism Support, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service, Pieta House and Children's Grief Centre.
