THE THREE Tenors are coming to Limerick this festive season for a special Christmas concert.

The trio, made up of Paul Feery, Philip Klubicka and Limerick native Conor Gibbons, has extended “a warm welcome to all in the locality” to come and join them for their “one and only, most joyful concert” in Limerick's Redemptorist Church on Saturday, December 21 at 8pm.

Limerick native Conor Gibbons began his vocal studies with Emma English at the Limerick School of Music before continuing his training at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Conor has performed internationally in London’s Barbican Centre and the Munich Philharmonic.

As a concert artist, Conor has toured worldwide with the Irish Harp Orchestra and has collaborated with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Anúna.

He is a former member of St Mary’s Cathedral Choir in Limerick and is the recipient of several Féile Luimnigh awards.

The Three Tenors have performed for over 15 years, with concerts in major venues such as the National Concert Hall Dublin, Cork Opera House, Dublin Castle, Belfast Lyric Theatre, and a sold-out performance in St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin city in 2021.

A spokesperson for the trio described the concert as “Celtic flavoured with a blend of popular favourites and lots of fun, it’s the fabulous mix of carefully selected, beautifully arranged inspiring songs and sung with passion that draws in people”.

The concert will feature a “unique wide mix” of classic hits, ranging from The Dubliners to Andrea Bocelli, including songs like Caledonia, Somewhere Only We Know, The Parting Glass, Nessun Dorma, The Prayer, and Bring Him Home.

Christmas favourites such as O Holy Night, Christmas 1915, and Silent Night will also be on the setlist for this festive event.

They were selected by the Irish Government to headline the 1916 Centenary State Reception in Dublin Castle in March 2016.

Tickets are available for €30 in the Church Monastery shop, over the phone on 061 315099, and online on Eventbrite.ie.
