Thieves steal bullocks from Limerick farm

GARDAI are appealing for information after 13 Friesian bullocks were stolen from a farm in Boher.
The theft occurred between 7pm on Wednesday, August 16 and 9am the following morning.
All the animals were approximately a year and a half years old.
Garda John Finnerty from Henry Street garda station said: "This is a very unusual crime and thankfully is something that does not happen very often.
"All cattle have ear tags which contain a number specific to that animal, therefore when cattle are bought and sold there is full transparency.
"The cattle thieves would have utilised a cattle truck to load the cattle up onto and to take them away. This was probably done in the hours of darkness."
If you live in the Boher area or were passing through Boher and you observed lights from a truck or any other form of suspicious activity, please contact the Gardai at Roxboro Road. They can be reached at 061 214340.
