Woman has shopping bags stolen from boot in Limerick shopping centre

WOMAN has shopping stolen from car in Limerick shopping centre.

On Friday, June 16 the woman in her 30s dropped two shopping bags filled with items to the value of over €300 into the boot of her car and returned to do more shopping.

At 6:50pm, she opened her boot to discover that it was empty.

Sergeant Ber Leetch, Crime Prevention Officer Henry Street Garda Station said: "It is possible a criminal saw her drop in the bags and tried the car boot when she left; imagine their delight when they discovered it was open.

"Your car is not locked until you pull the door handle and check it".
