LIMERICK man and Traitors Ireland star Andrew Moloney has announced the birth of his first child, sharing the news in a warm message posted on social media.

“Welcome to the world Oisín Moloney,” he wrote, adding: “You can call me Daddy," referring to his famous slip-up on Traitors.

Andrew received an immediate outpouring of congratulations from well-wishers after sharing the update including fellow Traitors stars Katelyn Divilly, Christine Duff and Amy Meehan. RTÉ One's Instagram account also commented, saying: "Congratulations Daddy & Grand-Daddy."

Andrew discovered just weeks before filming the show that he and his wife Aisling were expecting their first child. He appeared alongside his Dad Paudie on the show and they even briefly worked together in the conclave.

Andrew currently lives in Douglas, Cork and he married his long-term partner, Aisling, in Cork in November 2024. The Kilmallock man has been based in Cork for the past four years and he works as an assistant principal officer within the HR unit in the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment.

Andrew attended primary and secondary school in Kilmallock and also went to college locally. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology and a Master's in Economic Analysis, both from the University of Limerick.
