Permission is being sought to demolish an existing single-storey office extension constructed in 1983, and construction of a new single-storey extension with part pitched roof and glass canopy to create a separate dining room, restaurant entrance and toilets, kitchen and staff areas as part of restaurant use.
The application is also seeking permission for the lowering of the former church floor level to address current building access regulation and operational compliance, the removal of existing modern glazing from all stone-framed windows, and the installation of a new glazing system.
Permission is also being sought for conservation-based repair and refurbishment works to existing building fabric to allow for necessary upgrade, stabilisation, and maintenance of the protected structure.
The application is also looking for permission to widen the existing vehicular entrance with a new gate, including rebuilding and stabilisation of existing defective piers to boundary wall which is a protected structure, together with all associated site works.
Retention permission is also being sought for the removal of the internal floor structure of the historic former church.
