"Some windy and shower weather possible Friday and Christmas Eve but at present no significant weather to disrupt the busy travel days running up to Christmas," says forecaster Alan O'Reilly.
He added: "Still uncertainty around the Christmas period with a risk of low system on St Stephen’s Day but models not in agreement and huge uncertainty.
"The ECM model that Met Éireann use shows a high chance of a brief cold blast from Christmas Day for a couple of days."
