American business with huge Tipperary connections celebrates 25th anniversary

This week on the Local Business Promotion Series we head Stateside for the 25th Anniversary of O'Neill's Irish Bar and Restaurant based in Norwalk, Connecticut.
It is an American business with huge Tipperary connections.
O’Neill’s Irish Pub and Restaurant was originally established by the Brothers O’Neill: Olly, Mick and Tony from Lattin county Tipperary.
The brothers left Ireland for America in the 1990s and created an Irish Bar that has a very welcoming environment, filled with good company, specialising in great food and drink, all wrapped together in true Irish hospitality.
In 2008 O’Neill’s built their dream pub a few doors down from its original location and they welcomed old Mount Bruis NS school friend Donal Leahy as a Partner. Tony left the partnership to concentrate on his successful Construction business.
The new Bar has a stately turret-style brick façade, a crafted wood bar, stone fireplace, and intimate dining nooks located throughout the interior. The menu features many traditional Irish Pub favourites; from juicy burgers and corned beef sandwiches, to Irish specialties such as old world beef stew, bangers and mash, and shepherd’s pie.
O’Neill’s is famous for their pint of Guinness and a conversation over a glass of whiskey. They specialise in craft cocktails, seasonal beer selections, and a relaxing glass of wine.
O’Neill’s Bar also takes pride in participating in many fundraising events including the annual charity golf outing, St Baldrick’s head-shaving event, their annual 5K race, and many more causes that are dear to their hearts and have an impact on the community.
The Pub has provided employment to many over the years and it had a wonderful family feel surrounding it.
The very best wishes to Olly, Donal and Mick and all at O'Neills Irish Pub and Restaurant Sono for the future of their business.
It is wonderful to see such a success story from proud Tipperary people abroad.
