Beautifully restored home in Tipperary is featured on Home of the Year on RTE

A celebration of Tipperary heritage
RTÉ’s beloved Home of the Year returned to our screens for its 11th season, celebrating stunning interiors, creative transformations, and heartfelt stories that bring homes to life.
A Tipperary home featured in the first episode of the new series which was broadcast on Tuesday night.
In the heart of Tipperary, Claire and Seán Fox have lovingly restored a cherished piece of local history - a former 1860s shop - into a warm and inviting home.
The judged loved the home and their admiration for the restoration of the former shop was reflected in their scores as the home came out on top and has reached the final.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Their journey reflects true Tipperary spirit: resourcefulness, craftsmanship and a deep respect for heritage.
The couple purchased the property in 2020 and, with careful planning, began renovations the following year.
Determined to preserve the building’s character, they blended historic charm with modern comfort, all while championing sustainability.

From repurposed dressers to original shop spindles, the home is a tribute to Tipperary’s tradition of creativity and resilience.
For Claire and Seán, their home is a personal masterpiece - a celebration of Tipperary heritage and the joy of crafting something truly their own.
