BREAKING: Caravans move in to car park in Tipperary
Councillor Liam Browne has addressed the issue
Concern has been expressed over a "big number" of caravans and camper vans that are currently parked in the car park on the Clonmel Road in Cashel.
Cllr Liam Browne said "a large number of people contacted me over the past week about the big number of caravans/camper vans currently parked in the car park on the Clonmel Road, and the problems with increased littering in the vicinity".
He added: "I queried this with the relevant council department and would like to pass on the following update.
"Those parked in the car park, are currently not breaking any laws/bye laws, by being parked there. Therefore, neither the council nor the Gardai have reason to ask them to move.
"As regards cleaning up any litter, that will be done by the Environment Section of the council.
"It is not an ideal situation, but no laws/bye laws are being broken, so nothing more can be done at this time."
