More visitors need to be attracted to Clonmel, says outgoing Mayor

Lobbying the government to provide proper funding for an upgrade of the public water system in the Clonmel Local Electoral Area will be a priority for Richie Molloy, who was re-elected to the council on the fifth count.

“I will ask my colleagues on Tipperary County Council to support this call,” he stated.

Cllr Molloy also says that a lot more could be done to attract people to Clonmel. The development of the kayaking course, the Regional Sports Hub and the Kickham Barracks Plaza had helped in this regard, “but we need more visitors to the town to increase footfall in the town centre,” he said.
