Charity event to raise vital funds for Tipperary cancer support centre

Organised by the Excel Writers, the event will raise money for Circle of Friends
An event to mark Daffodil Day and to raise money for a vital support service will take place in Tipperary later this month.
Organised by the Excel Writers, A Moment in Time, Reflections, Poetry and Prose will take place in Tipperary Town on March 28, to raise funds for the Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre.
The event will take place at Circle of Friends, and gets underway from 11am on the day.
The organisers say that all are welcome to attend the event, and that donations to Circle of Friends are welcome on the day.
The Tipp Town event coincides with the Irish Cancer Society's biggest fundraising day of the year, Daffodil Day, which raised vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society.
The national charity say that they typically only get 5% of their funding from the Government, so days like Daffodil Day are crucial in ensuring they can continue to provide support for those dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
Volunteers with the Irish Cancer Society will be visible in shops and communities the length and breadth of Tipperary as part of Daffodil Day, with fresh flowers, merchandise and bucket collections for those who wish to support the fundraising drive.
