Community registration days planned in Carrick-on-Suir for town's Darkness Into Light walk/run

Community registration days for Carrick-on-Suir’s annual Darkness Into Light 5km walk/run in aid of Pieta suicide and self-harm prevention charity, take place this Saturday, April 22 and the following Saturday, April 29.
The registration centre where you can sign up to take part in the fundraising walk/run will be located at No. 20 Main Street, (formerly Glascott’s Shop) in Carrick-on-Suir and will be open from 11am to 3pm on both Saturdays.
Mary Power of Carrick-on-Suir’s Darkness Into Light Committee said a limited number of t-shirts will be available for collection at the registration days. Card and cash payments will be accepted.
Carrick’s Darkness Into Light walk/run takes place on Saturday, May 6. It will start from the CBS Green School at 4.15am and also finish there.
You can also register online to take part in the fundraising walk/run by logging onto www.darknessintolight.ie
Mary said the organisers are looking for more volunteers to steward at this year’s event due to the amount of road works in Carrick-on-Suir town centre.
