CONGRATULATIONS: Thurles student takes home prestigious creative writing award

Congratulations to our third- year student, Kayleigh McCormack, who is the recipient of a prestigious creative writing competition: the Enda O’Brien Young Writers’ Bursary through the Museum of Literature in Ireland (MoLI).

Every year, a five-day creative writing course is organised with fifteen winners from all over the country. Kayleigh entered a 200-word sample of her writing, and her submission was selected for its potential and raw skill by a panel of judges from UCD’s MoLI and the National Library of Ireland.

Kayleigh will be mentored by Jessica Traynor, a well-known poet, from July 17-21.

Well done, Kayleigh. We are very proud of you.
