Corpus Christi procession tradition to be revived in a town in Tipperary

Corpus Christi procession in Clonmel
It is many years since there has been a solemn procession through the town of Clonmel to celebrate Corpus Christi.
Some may remember this from when they were children.
After 35 years the tradition will be revived this year with the resources and manpower required being available.
The public asked to join with Bana Chluain Meala, The Legion of Mary, SVDP, politicians and the communities of all the churches in Clonmel: St Oliver’s, St Mary’s, St Peter & Pauls, and The Resurrection.
The procession will start at 6pm on Thursday June 19 at St Mary’s Church. It will proceed to St Peter and Paul’s Church. The duration of the whole event is about 40 minutes.
