Council urged to investigate Tipperary skateboard park ‘rash’

Cllr Jim Ryan has said he has received complaints from parents about their children coming home from the Thurles Skateboard Park with a rash.

He asked at this month's sitting of Thurles-Templemore Municipal District Council that the issue be investigated.

District Administrator Sharon Scully said they are aware that works are needed on the surface of the skateboard park.

She said the park is currently closed while the consultants assess the need and work is carried out.

When asked about funding, Ms Scully said they would not know until the surface had been properly assessed.
