Countdown is on to major art exhibition at library in Tipperary
Members of STAG will exhibit two artworks each
A new four-week session for Junior STAG (South Tipperary Art Group) will commence this Saturday, June 1.
There are a limited number of places available so please contact the Organiser Maureen Purcell for details at 086-8096823.
STAG acknowledges and thanks the Arts Office, Tipperary County Council for the financial assistance in facilitating the Portrait Course in Charcoal and Paint with master portrait artist, Tony Robinson, Wexford that was run all day on May 11.
The course was a roaring success with seniors from Junior STAG, a few art students from second level schools and art students from a third level college, with tutors from STAG also in attendance.
A special word of thanks is extended to the brilliant models Mike, Mary, Bobby and Maryna.
The group is indebted to the Arts Office for the art grant to facilitate this Portrait Course for second and third level art students and tutors.
All Adult STAG members are reminded that as there are just a few weeks left before the annual art exhibition in Clonmel Library, they are requested to attend as many sessions as possible from now on.
All paid-up members for this year will exhibit two artworks each. On display will be artworks of watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, pen and wash, digital art, ceramics and sculpture/modelling.
The exhibition will be officially launched on Wednesday June 19.
