County Tipperary GAA Club's lotto jackpot has reached €12,750

Carrick Swan Club's weekly lotto draw takes place on Thursdays
Carrick Swan Notes Monday July 15th
Carrick Swan GAA Club congratulates its senior hurling team who captured the South Senior hurling title on Sunday with a magnificent 9-point victory over Killenaule. The win cements the team's place on top of the South Tipperary Senior Hurling roll of honour with 25 titles won compared to Killenaule’s 23 titles
Well done to the Senior hurlers and management team on a superb display.
The team's attention now turns to their next game, which is against Upperchurch-Drombane in Round 1 of the Seamus O’Riain Cup in Littleton on Friday, July 26.
The Club congratulates the Junior A hurlers who defeated Ballylooby/Castlegrace to top their group in the South Junior A Hurling Championship, with a game to spare, on Friday night. The win qualified the team for the South quarter-final, which is expected to take place in early August. Before then, they play their final group game against Father Sheehy’s this Sunday, July 21.
Commiserations to the Under 19 footballers who exited the championship last week with a loss to Fethard. Their attention now turns to hurling. They play Ballingarry in Round 1 of the South Under 19 A Hurling Championship at Fethard GAA Club at 7.45pm on Friday. The other teams in this championship are St. Mary’s, Killenaule, and Mullinahone.
The Junior B camogie team are expecting fixtures for their upcoming championship in the coming weeks. The championship is expected to begin in mid-August once the Tipperary Junior and Senior camogie teams finish their championships. These two Tipperary teams play All-Ireland semi-finals over the next two weekends. The Swan Club wishes both teams the best of luck, especially the Junior team which includes Swan player Emma O’ Halloran.
The finals of the camogie tournament take place at Páirc na nEalaí on Friday evening with the fixtures to be finalised mid-week. The Shield Final will take place at 7pm while the Cup Final will take place at 8pm. Best of luck to all teams involved.
Juvenile Scene
The Under 17 team were defeated by Mullinahone in Páirc na nEalaí last week in the championship opening game. The team play St Mary's in Clonmel Sportsfield next Monday, July 22 at 8pm. Other teams in this championship include Killenaule, Ballingarry, and Cahir.
The Under 13 hurlers achieved a good win over St. Patrick’s last Saturday morning in Carrick. They next play Ballybacon-Grange on The Green on Saturday an 11am.
The Under 9 boys took part in the half-time game during last Sunday’s South Senior Hurling Final in Monroe. Looking at the skills on show from the Swan and Killenaule players during the game, it’s safe to say that the future of hurling is bright in both clubs.
Carrick Swan Club thank Siobhan O’Dwyer for organising yet another massively successful camp for young kids. Last week’s Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp was attended by more than 60 kids, all of whom loved the week of activities, even if the weather wasn’t the best. When rain fell, the kids got to enjoy a movie afternoon in the clubhouse.
