Danny O'Neill marks milestone anniversary with his 50th year at Gleeson Concrete

Well-known Galbally man, Danny O'Neill, marked a milestone anniversary recently when he celebrated his 50th Anniversary at Gleeson Concrete in Donohill.

Danny began working with the renowned company on April 1, 1974, the same day as his birthday.

Tipperary TD, Michael Lowry, said: "Over the course of 50 years he has worked with three generations of the Gleeson family and has seen many, many changes from the move from manual work to automation and the introduction of computerisation.

"Those who know Danny will know that not all his time was spent working over the years, as he is also a well-known and accomplished hurler and footballer.

"Danny has no intention of hanging up the working boots just yet and he looks forward to continuing his work in the years ahead.

"Congratulations to him and every best wish for the future."
