Davins GAA Club weekly news

Carrick Davins GAA Club congratulates its Junior B footballers who advance to a South final after a strong win in the semi-final.

It is with great sadness that the club learned of the death of Patsy Moroney.

Patsy was an exceptional hurler for the Davins senior team in the 1970s, winning three South titles.

Patsy then emigrated to England, where he lived for many years but always remained a great supporter of the club.

On his return to Carrick, Patsy was a familiar face to many, especially on the river bank either taking a walk or with a rod in his hand.

All in the club extend condolences to Patsy's family and his many friends.

The jackpot prize wasn't won in last week's Juvenile Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were:

03,05,08,09. Three people matched three numbers and won €70 each. They were:

Billy Mackey, JJ Crowley, Mally Walsh, C/O Tender
