Did you know? Rock Marshals Motorcycle Club was founded in 2010 and centred in Cashel

Rock Marshals Motorcycle Club was founded in 2010 and centred in Cashel.
The club’s stated purpose was to promote the safe use of motorcycles, arrange social activities and gatherings, facilitate group travel, at home and abroad, and raise money for charitable causes.
Five of the original founders are still actively involved in all aspects of the club.
There are currently 58 club members (including 14 ladies), who hail from Tipperary, Limerick, Kilkenny and Waterford. One member is a Cork man who is resident in Switzerland.
Club members meet on Sunday mornings (weather permitting) and the Chairman Mike O’Brien (Tipperary Town), leads the group on a mystery tour. These tours may introduce riders to new experiences of ‘twisty roads,’ heritage sites or areas of scenic beauty.
Twice yearly, the group arranges yearly trips to more distant areas of the island. Most recently, groups have travelled to England, Scotland, Wales, the Benelux countries, France and Spain.
Plans are already afoot for next year's trip to the Picos area of Spain and the Austrian and Swiss Alps.
Rock Marshals MCC continues to expand its menus of activities, with some members enjoying ‘off-road’ training and track days at Mondello Park.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The club takes social responsibility seriously, and each year it organises a fund-raising campaign in the community for the benefit of a selected organisation.
The Irish Community Air Ambulance and the Irish Red Cross, amongst others, have benefitted from such fundraising.
The club actively reciprocates in its support of kindred motorcycle clubs, in their efforts to raise funds for such causes. Rock Marshals MCC accepts suitable new members, who support and contribute to club objectives.
Their most recent fundraising event took place on Sunday, August 20 starting from Mother Hubbards Restaurant in Cashel.
The Motorcycle Run was in aid of the Irish Red Cross and they were blessed with a beautiful day and a large number of participants.
