Drive-thru lane under construction at popular Costa coffee branch in Tipperary
Costa Coffee in Nenagh is currently undergoing an upgrade
Construction has officially commenced on a new drive-thru lane for the Costa Coffee unit at Nenagh Retail Park, located in Stereame on the Limerick Road.
The development, which began on June 30, includes the installation of a 3.5-metre-wide drive-thru lane, a service hatch, a height restrictor entrance barrier, and associated hard and soft landscaping. Minor internal reconfigurations are also planned for the existing Costa Coffee unit.

As part of the upgrade, the works will include:
- A new order station
- Two menu board advertisement signs
- New signage on all elevations of the building
- Alterations to the existing car park layout
- Improvements to pedestrian pathways
- A new pedestrian crossing
- Relocated cycle parking
While the redesign aims to improve convenience and accessibility for customers, it will result in the net loss of 50 car parking spaces within the retail park.
The project is expected to enhance the overall customer experience at the busy coffee outlet while adapting to increasing demand for drive-thru services.
