Driver reverses down dual carriageway to avoid Tipperary garda checkpoint
The driver attempted to avoid the garda checkpoint
Gardaí from the Clare/Tipperary Roads Policing Unit came across a rather dangerous motorist while carrying out a checkpoint recently in Ennis.
Upon noticing the checkpoint the driver of the car attempted to avoid gardaí by reversing away from it on the dual carriageway.
The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to the Garda Station.
Gardaí posted the details on Facebook along with the caption:
"If you were socialising last night, take time & make sure you are safe to drive if you were drinking - you might still be over the limit this morning/afternoon."
