E-scooters pose a danger to pedestrians says Tipperary councillor

Cllr Shane Lee has asked the district council to act on e-scooters in public places. He said e- scooters are posing a danger to pedestrians.

Senior Engineer for Roads and Transportation Liam Brett said they are awaiting legislation.

New legislation will create a separate vehicle category for e-scooters and introduce a speed limit on new scooters.

“We hope to see that later this year,” said Mr Brett.
