EDITORIAL: It’s shaping up to be a great summer in the Premier County

From this week's edition of the Tipperary Star and The Nationalist
It’s shaping up to be a fantastic summer in the Premier County.
This week saw a fantastic open-air concert in Tipperary Town with performances by the CJ Kickham Band, the Cobh Fraternity Band and the Cahir Comhaltas Group.
Coming up is the much-anticipated Munster Fleadh as well as Liberty Music Festival in Thurles and Hoolie in the Hills in Upperchurch.
The latter were highlights of the calendar in 2023 and had the town talking for months.
You can read about just some of these events in this week’s editions of the Tipperary Star and The Nationalist.
If last year is anything to go by, these events will be amazing days out and deserve as much local support as possible.
Events like these bring thousands to our towns and show off what’s great about the county.
They are not only great for the local economy but pride in the county. Many people will be jetting off to sunnier climates but many will stay at home.
If these are not your scene, don’t forget to check out what’s happening at your local arts centres.
And don’t forget, they provide entertainment all-year round.
This year, we also have a Rose representing the county.
Tara Brady from Ballina will compete in this year’s competition, but before that, she will tour the county.
The Rose of Tralee is always a high point in the year and we all look forward to supporting Tara in August.
So, there is no shortage of entertainment this summer in Tipp.
We have a lot to be proud of here in Tipperary and there is so much to enjoy.
We look forward to seeing all of you out and about and don’t forget to send us your snaps.
Keep an eye on both papers and tipperarylive.ie for all the coverage, information and updates on summer fun in the Premier County.
