Tipperary Museum of Hidden History will host a one day seminar titled 'A Quiet Revolution: Ireland 1960 -2000', this Saturday 18th January at the TUS Campus, Nenagh Road, Thurles.

This seminar is part of the wider lecture series of the same name looking at some of the social, cultural and political events of the period 1960 - 2000 that shaped modern Ireland.

There is a fantastic line up of speakers including well know modern Irish historian – Diarmaid Ferriter who will be discussing the role of the Church during the period.

Issues around feminism and journalism will be addressed by Susan McKay, Ireland’s current and first female press Ombudsperson.

Tipperary’s own Martin Mansergh will look at the political events during the period. The afternoon session will allow time for audience questions.

Admission is €50, cash only on the day or you can purchase tickets in advance on Eventbrite, see link. Please note there is a booking fee if using Eventbrite.
