‘Everybody’s issue is important ’ says Tipperary general election candidate

Local Fianna Fáil General Election candidate, Cllr Imelda Goldsboro was asked some questions during her recent campaign trail with Tánaiste Micheál Martin
Cllr Imelda Goldsboro was asked during her recent campaign trail what the main challenges were facing the people of Tipperary.
“There are many challenges facing those in Tipperary such as affordable housing, a lack of rental accommodation, long lists for assessments for kids with autism, and a need for an increase in respite services. I hope to tackle the issue of rural isolation and also improve the planning systems to ensure that rural housing and housing in rural areas can be achieved without unnecessary debates”.
LOCAL ISSUES
She spoke about the need for more supports for rural communities around Tipperary. Cllr Goldsboro said she intends to listen to her constituents' issues at a local level: “Everybody has issues and everybody’s issue is important. Sometimes these issues are not heard at local level or they can’t be changed or altered at local level. Somebody in the hierarchy of the Dáil has that say, and has that power and influence to help these people get their issues heard”.
POLLS
Cllr Goldsboro, who has topped the poll in the last two local elections, has said South Tipperary needs a TD so that South Tipperary has a local voice at the national table.
“I am a very determined and hard-working councillor. Anyone that knows me knows that I get things done for constituents. I come from a farming community; I am a mother of three teenagers. I live in the real world, so I know the day-today struggles that people face. I will be that local voice at the national table if I am elected”.
