Exhibition in Tipperary honours memory of arts centre administrator

Eimear King was a great support and encouragement to all the artists in the group
An art exhibition that’s currently being staged at Clonmel Library is honouring the memory of the late Eimear King, who was the administrator at the South Tipperary Arts Centre until her sad passing last year.
The exhibition features paintings by the Friday Art Class, run under the auspices of South Tipperary Arts Centre, under tutor Tony Crosse.
The class members say that Eimear was a great support and encouragement to all the artists in the group.
She suggested that they should stage an exhibition, which the artists have now undertaken with some of their work completed over the past few years.
Most of the artists are retired and have taken up painting and drawing later in life.
Under the expert tutelage of Tony Crosse and with the support of each other and all the staff at the arts centre, they are proud of their artistic achievements.
The exhibition will be launched in the library at 6pm this evening, Wednesday.
It continues until Saturday week, April 26.
