Extra train scheduled to cater for demand after the Tipp and Cork hurling game
Up to 40,000 hurling supporters are expected to attend Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday evening for the mouthwatering clash between Tipperary and Cork. The clash is pivotal for both sides as a win will increase the chances of qualification to the knockout stages. The province wide open as both sides are tied on two points each.
Cork's dominant display at home against Waterford last weekend means the home supporters will be expectant while Tipperary supporters are getting behind Liam Cahills 'full commitment for every ball' requirements he has set for his team. It promises to be a belter of a game and despite the late throw in time, Irish Rail have stepped up to the mark to accommodate Tipp supporters with a late train being put on their schedule for Saturday night.
Demand is brisk for the extra train to serve match goers, so supporters are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. The train will leave Kent Station at 9.30pm and will arrive back in Thurles at 10.47pm. The train will not go further though so Templemore and Nenagh supporters will have to make other travel arrangements.
