A former Limerick county senior footballer has announced his engagement to his long-term partner - a former Miss Tipperary!

A forward, Séamus took the relatively rare step of turning out for a club outside his home county, instead playing forward with Castleknock in Dublin, where he worked as a garda.
He initially played football with his boyhood side Cappagh in Limerick.
A talented hurler, he won an under-21 championship with Limerick in 2011 and was a national title winning handball player.
